The new console comes with a companion VR headset, which could make for a great platform for a new music game. The release of the PlayStation 5 has also provided some clues about the potential for Rock Band 5. This is the closest thing we’ve seen to a Rock Band 5 announcement so far, and it’s possible that it could be a precursor to the full game.
This expansion includes a story mode, called Rockudrama, which allows players to follow the journey of their rock band. In late 2020, Rock Band 4 was updated with a new expansion, Rivals. Players press four buttons on the bottom of their controller while playing, and they can also customize their character’s appearance. During the beta test, players could get a glimpse at the gameplay, which is similar to that of Rock Band or Guitar Hero. In March 2020, Harmonix held a beta test for God of Rock.
